I’ve begun work on an F-105D which was responsible for two Mig-17 kills during the Vietnam War. The aircraft, serial number 60-504, was named “Memphis Belle II” and was the mount of Major Buddy Jones, who served with the 357th TFS (355th TFW) at Takhli Air Base, Thailand.
I have drop tanks finished and I’m working on bomb racks, bombs, and missiles to finish outfitting the aircraft so I can begin working on a profile layout and a couple action scenes.
Fuel drop tanks and air-to-air missiles hung underneath her wings. Still working on a centerline MER and bombs, but she’s coming along.
